The road to re-opening our physical showrooms on Monday 12th April is drawing closer and we are busy preparing our showrooms to welcome you back.
These have been strange and challenging times, but we have, as a company all pulled together and managed to sell more cars in 2020 than in 2019 and we had a record breaking month this February.
This is all down to the commitment and dedication of the staff, the website, videos, photos, our fantastic customer reviews and to our loyal customers for continuing to have their Volvos serviced with us during the pandemic and for still purchasing a new or used Volvo online through our own website.
Our safe ‘Click and Collect’ and ‘Home Delivery’ service has definitely proven to be a success and this has been down to the easy way in which it is now possible to purchase a new or used Volvo online. This option will still remain after we re-open, however we appreciate that it is not the best customer experience and an open showroom is always a better experience. We can, however still provide pre-booked unaccompanied test drives whilst adhering to time constraints and legislation.
Last week we were delighted to receive the following congratulations and recognition from West Yorkshire Trading Standards:-
“Clive Brook Bradford & Clive Brook Huddersfield have passed the assessment to receive an ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ award for the 2020 Motor Trade Partnership. This last year has been a very difficult one for the motor industry and we hope that this award serves as a reflection of the hard work you have put in to achieve and maintain such high standards.”
It’s not been easy for our teams and customers, but it always means a great deal to us to receive recognition from outside of the traditional industry awards.
So what does 2021 look like for Volvo? Volvo’s Recharge line-up of chargeable models, with a fully electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain continue to grow in popularity and you may have seen the new Volvo C40 Recharge, the latest manifestation of its commitment to a zero emission future.
The C40 Recharge has all the benefits of an SUV, but with a lower and sleeker design. It is based on the CMA vehicle platform and the first Volvo model in history designed as pure electric only.
Inside, the C40 Recharge provides customers with the high seating position that most Volvo drivers prefer, while it is available with a range of colour and deco options unique to the model. It is also the first Volvo model to be completely leather-free.
The propulsion consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80 per cent in about 40 minutes*. It offers an anticipated range of around 420 km*, which is expected to improve over time via over-the-air software updates.
The C40 Recharge will go in production this autumn and will be built alongside the XC40 Recharge at the Volvo Cars manufacturing plant in Ghent, Belgium.
